Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has the green light to proceed with a deal to build a specialized version of its HoloLens goggle for military usage, a potential multibillion-dollar opportunity for the software giant.
Microsoft first won a deal with the Pentagon three years ago, but the contract was put on hold last year as Congress reconsidered the effort. But on Wednesday, the company said in a blog post that the Army is ready to proceed with the production phase of the system.
